Here’s your chance to relive the poignant events that made Normandy famous while traveling in deluxe style. Reflect on the Allied invasion to liberate France and the rest of Western Europe during World War II at D-Day landmarks, including Omaha Beach and the Normandy American Cemetary and Memorial, Arromanches, Pointe du Hoc, beaches of Utah, Sword, Gold and Juno, as well as St. Mere-Eglise.

Day 1

Arrival day in Paris. Enjoy welcome champagne prior to our first gourmet dinner in the evening.

Day 2

Following breakfast, we’ll board our luxury coach for the two-hour drive to Le-Bec-Hellouin, a charming little Normand village for lunch (included) and free time. Afterwards, we’ll head to our hotel, a Relais & Châteaux property, our home for 5 nights. Enjoy a Champagne aperitif before a gourmet dinner.

Day 3

After breakfast, we’ll drive to Mont St. Michel where you’ll have the entire day to explore and enjoy lunch on your own. We’ll return to our hotel to freshen up before another gourmet meal.

Day 4

Following breakfast, we’ll take a short drive to Bayeux where we’ll visit the tapestry museum and the memorial of the Bataille de Normandie. Lunch is on your own. After lunch, we’ll visit the Normandy American Cemetary and Memorial in Colleville-sur-Mer, overlooking Omaha Beach. The site pays tribute to the thousands of Americans who died in World War II. In the evening, we’ll enjoy delicious local seafood in Port en Bessin.

Day 5

After breakfast, we’ll drive to Le Breuil en Auge to visit a prestigious Calvados distillery, Chateau du Breuil, where we’ll learn the art of making and tasting Calvados, as well as enjoy a Normand lunch (included). A tour of a fromagerie follows. A champagne aperitif will be served prior to dinner at the hotel.

Day 6

Following breakfast, we’ll drive to Pointe du Hoc, Utah Beach and Ste. Mere Eglise for free time and lunch on your own. We’ll meet at the bar in the evening to enjoy more bubbly, followed by our last Normand feast.

Day 7

A short drive to the nearby seaside resort of Deauville follows breakfast, where you’ll have time to stroll the boardwalk and enjoy lunch on your own. Afterwards, we’ll drive back to Paris for our farewell dinner in the City of Light.

Day 8

The tour ends after breakfast.
